VEGA was hired to breathe new life into the Twin Owls hotel in Estes Park, CO, and transform it into the perfect spot for young active families to escape into the mountains year around. Mikvah of East Denver | MOED

It all begins with an idea.

Denver, CO

We were honored to have been approached for this project to design a religious bathhouse for the Jewish community. We sought to celebrate this spiritual act of cleansing the soul by abstractly referencing the natural pools of the original Mikvah’s. All while maintaining texture, materiality and the human scale so that it always feels relatable. The path from entering the site, approaching the doors, to the changing room and to the immersion pool was all carefully designed to anticipate beauty, function, privacy and spirituality.

Rock Island

It all begins with an idea.

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this project successfully utilized National Park Service standards and the Historic Tax Credit process to convert and restore this project from a night club to an office building. We were able to research and rehabilitate much of this building to its former glory while still creating new and relevant modern design in areas where restoration was not possible.

The Gold Dome

It all begins with an idea.

Oklahoma City, OK

The Gold Dome Building, famous for its unique architecture, is a geodesic dome and major landmark along historic Route 66. Located on the southern end of Oklahoma City's Asian district, the Gold Dome building was constructed in 1958 and originally housed Citizens State Bank. Throughout its history, the Gold Dome has housed a cultural center, art gallery, office space and restaurant.

Built in the 1960, The Gold Dome Building is one of the only remaining Kaiser Aluminum geodesic domes still standing. Its original gold anodized finish made it an instant landmark in Oklahoma City, prominently located along historic Route. 66..

Throughout its history, the Gold Dome has housed a cultural center, art gallery, office space and restaurant. Our task was to re-envision it as a multi-purpose concert venue.

Busch House

It all begins with an idea.

Lakewood, CO

We were privileged to have the opportunity to carefully remodel this incredible mid-century modern house in Applewood. Designed in the 60’s by one of Eero Saarinen’s protege’s, James Ream, this house was in a league of its own within other modern houses of its time. Our goal was to continue on the intent that James built into the house in a way that brought it into the current day but did so in an understated and honest way. We were privileged to have it featured in 5280.

Formative Office

It all begins with an idea.

We designed a series of these flexible and rapidly demisable offices for a landlord seeking to provide high-end office space to tenants who want to balance collaboration with demised space for their company. Our unique master plan, combined with a specific demountable wall system, allows the landlord to rapidly re-demise the space to accommodate tenants changes in size and thereby keeping the tenants in building longer.
