David started VEGA in 2009 in order to explore ways to realize great design – starting with improving the building delivery process. VEGA landed its first major client soon after which provided for continued growth throughout the recession. David is consistently involved in the design of all the firm’s work. He works hard to ensure that the overall vision and goals for the projects are met, and that VEGA continually pushes innovation in design and project delivery.
David’s passion for building science, retail science and design has been instrumental in the development of several long term clients.

As an experienced architect, Adam maintains a strong presence in all aspects of project development —from leading the design concept and overseeing construction to managing the documentation process.
Adam brings 20 years of design expertise in implementing creative architectural solutions while maintaining a balance between design, budget and schedule. With a focus on exceeding client expectations, Adam provides his creative insight and leadership to problem solving, and understands the importance of a highly collaborative team throughout the design process.

Laura J. Yanoviak | AIA principal, director of BIM
One of the country’s leading BIM experts, Laura has been at the forefront of the construction industry’s transition to multi-dimensional modeling and parametric design. She is a master at developing innovative solutions to streamline processes, resulting in successful projects.
Laura joined vega in 2011 and has over 30 years of professional experience. She combines solid design and planning skills with the management of project teams on a variety of projects throughout the country.
Laura’s extensive experience ranges from large-scale planning to custom single-family residences and includes educational facilities, multi-family housing and commercial office structures.

Ruben Aya | Assoc. AIA, PE, LEED AP project manager
Ruben brings to VEGA 20 years of combined professional experience from the practice of both architecture and structural engineering. He is a highly collaborative design professional with a passion for integrated design. He practices architecture because he believes in the story power of architecture to bring joy to the user experience.
Ruben began his career as a structural engineer focusing on the seismic analysis and design of complex large scale building structures. After several years of A/E and consulting engineering practice, he returned to school and embarked on a new career in architecture. During his last several years of architectural practice, Ruben managed teams working as a project architect on major institutional projects in government, healthcare, and aviation. He brought the detail oriented rigor of his engineering roots into his architectural practice, and worked closely with designers, engineers, and contractors. Ruben has successfully collaborated with diverse teams of project stakeholders, working towards reaching consensus and building solutions.
